Same Article Keeps Getting Rejected

Hi
I have submitted my first article and it has been rejected three times! Each time it is for something different, which is throwing me into confusion. Do the editors change with each re-submission? Why aren't all issues brought to the writer's attention in the first rejection, as with other writing sites? Am I likely to be suspended? Is it ok to just abandon this article, as to be honest, I don't understand the corrections I have to do.

If you had been suspended, your rejection notice would have said that, so you still have a chance here.

There is no guarantee that the same editor will work on a resubmission, although as authors we really don't know how that works. But I believe that the eds will not necessarily keep on reading if they come acoss something to cause a rejection, and I suspect that is even more likely to be the case at times like now when they have a long queue of submissions. It's up to you to submit articles that are grammatically correct and read well, so you need to proofread really carefully. If possible get some help with that and have someone else check it over for you. If you are not sure about a particular sentence, you can post it in a relevant forum thread and get a few opinions and suggestions from other authors. Lots of us are happy to help.

But don't post an overlong excerpt here as it might be picked up by a search engine, and you would not be able to offer full or unique rights.

Thank you for your comments. This is my first attempt at Constant Content so just learning ropes. What happens if I cancel article now?

You can easily cancel your article. Just go to the My Content page and click on delete against the article. Then it will no longer be waiting for you to resubmit. You could try agin with it later if you wanted. Hope you are not going to give up on CC altogether. There do seem to be a few editing problems at the moment, which may be down to a growing volume of submissions, but it really is a great place to showcase and sell your work.
