'3 strikes, you're out' forever?

Post by abigailssutton »

I have a question that i am hoping a more experienced CC author could help me with.
I wonder if the '3 strikes, you're out' policy is ever non-applicable. By that i mean i see long time authors with hundreds of articles for sale and i find it hard to believe they have submitted 100+ articles with less than 3 mistakes ever.
My first article was accepted on my first submission and has sold! But my second article was rejected twice. Once for understandable grammatical errors but when i resubmitted the editor rejected for improper paragraph formatting which was not mentioned on the first submission notes.
Now i am worried about submitting another article and being suspended while clearly my first article was up to standard and has sold already.

I said all that to say this:
Even if my next 10, or even 100, articles are accepted will i always be at risk of being suspended for one rejection?

I love receiving extra revenue to supplement my thin staff writer salary and i would like to stay with CC without being too worried about suspension to upload more articles.

Appreciate any response in advance!

The three strikes rule just safeguards CC from inappropriate submissions. It is not slavishly applied. However, if you get a rejection, it's wise to proof read all of it carefully before and after redrafting. Editors sometimes stop reading before the end if they find errors, and all CC authors are expected to check their own work. Since you've had one accepted, you will surely make the grade. Good luck.
